Revenues and Benefits IT System Administrator

Salary: £38,157 to £42,656 dependent on qualifications and experience

Contract Type: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Contract Length: Permanent Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and high performing individual to join our friendly and committed service. We are seeking a dynamic, enthusiastic, and confident individual to join a small team in providing support as a single point of contact for users.

Knowledge of the effective management, control and administration of the Capita One Revenues and Benefits system (Academy) is essential to being successful in this role. We would also expect candidates to have a good knowledge of revenues and benefits administration and working practices.

Roles and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Ensuring the effective management, control and administration of the Council’s Computerised Revenues and Benefits systems. Making sure that the systems remain operational, identifying areas for development, and ensuring any down time is minimal.
  • Scheduling of batch routines including document production, payments, benefit/cash postings, refunds, integrity checks and system reconciliations
  • Initiation of Direct Debit routines including reconciliation with Accountancy
  • Undertake year end processing including inputting of parameters, running of main billing, liaising with the Councils print and mailing supplier and other relevant tasks
  • Setting up New Users on the system, general maintenance of users, password control and the maintenance of permissions

The ideal candidate will be self-motivated, possess strong problem-solving skills and be able to demonstrate the ability to work under pressure to a high degree of accuracy. You will need to be proactive, confident and a strong team player.
