Status: Awaiting Results
The council is consulting on its draft Council Plan that sets out its direction for the next four years, 2024-2028. This is an overarching, high-level document. This consultation runs from 6 September to 9 am, 21 October 2024.
This consultation is closed. Thank you to all those that took part. The results will be reported to Cabinet before Christmas 2024.
We would like your feedback on the Council Plan, particularly its vision and the high-level objectives. This information will help the councillors make a final decision on the content and delivery of the plan.
The Council Plan is an overarching document that draws together all the different services and strategies provided by Rother District Council. It is about the overall direction of the council. It sets out the long-term vision for Rother in 2040. It starts the first four years towards achieving the vision for Rother by identifying key local issues and setting medium-term priorities and outcomes. More detailed strategies and plans slot beneath the Council Plan.
The Council Plan should not be confused with the Local Plan. The Local Plan had a recent public consultation ending in July 2024. The Local Plan covers development and land use only.
The Local Plan comes in underneath the Council Plan. Other strategies and plans under the Council Plan are our Regeneration Strategy, Climate Strategy, Anti-Poverty Strategy, Leisure Facilities Strategy, or our Housing and Homelessness Strategies.
