Rural Community Infrastructure Grants – Due to open 1 December 2023.
This funding has been provided by the Rural England Prosperity Fund to support capital projects in rural areas, this means that we can only fund projects outside of Bexhill and the surrounding area.
Please note that the Rother Community Grants scheme funded projects inclusive of Bexhill. Please check the pages to see when this is open for further applications.
We have a total of £100,000 for this fund until March 2025. Applications will be awarded on a first-come, first-served basis until the total budget has been awarded.
Projects need to be delivered by March 2025 and comply with grant eligibility requirements.
What will we fund?
The levelling up objectives for this funding are to strengthen our social fabric and foster a sense of local pride and belonging in Rother through investment in activities that enhance physical, cultural and social ties and amenities; however, we also want to ensure that projects meet local objectives, which should included in your application.
The funding is for capital projects only. For a definition of ‘capital’ and example projects, go to the Eligibility page.
Example projects could be;
- EV charging points for community use
- Community energy schemes such as scaled-up biomass, heat pumps or solar
- Capital grants for kitchens in community hubs
Applications to the scheme are welcomed from properly constituted organisations for services and activities which benefit the residents of Rother.
Permissions should be obtained prior to making an application, in particular, Planning Permission or Building Regulations approval.
We strongly advise reading the Eligibility page before making an application.
When to apply?
This grant scheme is now open. The current window for applications will be open until 29th February 2024. However, applications will be assessed on a first-come, first-served basis until the funding pot has all been allocated; in this case, the application window could close sooner.
If the funding isn’t all allocated by 29th February, it is likely that this window will be extended.
Before making an application, please ensure you have all the necessary documentation and emails required to process your application. Applications with missing information or without quotes will not be considered. To complete the online application form, please click the button below.
