East Sussex County Council, in partnership with Hastings and Rother CCG, have commissioned and funded the Benefits and Debt Advice Project. The project provides free, confidential welfare benefits advice to residents of Rother, including advice on Universal Credit, all DWP benefits, housing benefit and council tax reduction. Rother District Council is responsible for dealing with:
- Housing Benefit
- Council Tax Reduction
The Council does not deal with applications for Income Support, Jobseekers Allowance, Employment Support Allowance or Pension Credit – these are dealt with by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP), your local Jobcentre and the Pension Service respectively. Applications for Child Tax Credits and Working Tax Credits are dealt with by the HM Revenue & Customs.
