Rother District Council

Rother District Council licenses many activities to protect public safety, order and health and animal welfare.

The licenses fall into four categories, namely:

• Alcohol & Entertainments - see Licensing Act 2003

• Animal Welfare - boarding and breeding establishments, pet shops and riding & livery stables

• Gambling - premises used for gambling, lotteries, gaming machines- see Gambling Act 2005

• Miscellaneous- acupuncture, game dealers, skin piercing, motor salvage operators, street collections, street trading, scrap metal, & tattooing

Door Supervisors are licensed by the Security Industry Authority (SIA).
