Only cars and vans under 3.5T gross vehicle weight are permitted use of these permits
- The permit issued must be displayed on the car windscreen, on the driver’s side, along with a valid Blue Badge. Vehicles not so displaying the permit are liable for payment of the normal parking charges.
- The permit is issued for use by the registered person on the scheme only, it is not transferable and the registered person must be using as the driver or passenger of the vehicle at the times the vehicle is parked and using the permit.
- The permit does not provide a dedicated parking space for permit holders and spaces are on a first come first served basis. The availability of a space in any car park, unless in dedicated bays is not guaranteed.
- Amendments to registration numbers should be sent through to Neighbourhood Services via carparks@rother.gov.uk or by post to Neighbourhood Services, Town Hall, Bexhill on Sea, East Sussex TN39 3JX.
- The Council reserves the right to revoke any permit if they find that the holder has misused the facilities offered.
- The conditions and regulations imposed by Rother District Council (Off Street Parking Places) Orders shall apply to Permit Holders except where they may be inconsistent with these terms and conditions.
- Rother District Council shall not be liable for personal injury or for loss of or damage to vehicles; their accessories or contents in our car parks (save for the negligence of the Council).
- Permits will normally be issued to a named individual showing the registration mark of the vehicle to which it relates. Exceptionally, permits may, at the Council’s discretion, show up to three registration marks, this must be discussed and confirmed at the time of issue.
- The permit grants the users permission to park in all Rother District Council pay and display car parks without charge for the period shown on the permit.
- The permit is not valid in dedicated bays at The Gun Gardens, Rye, Western Road, Bexhill and the Strand, Rye.
- The issue of replacement permits due to incorrect information given at the time of application will be subject to an administration fee of £10.00.
- Only original permits can be used, Rother District Council will not accept photocopies, duplicates or pictures of permits at any time. Failure to display an original permit will result in a Standard Charge Notice to Pay being issued.
