How to Enter
To be eligible for entry into the prize draw, residents must complete their Garden Waste subscription and make payment in full via the Rother District Council website online portal by 11:59 PM on 28th February 2026. All subscribers who have successfully applied and paid for a garden waste subscription using the online portal within the specified timeframe will be automatically entered into the draw.
Terms and Conditions
- The prize Promotor is Rother District Council.
- Participants are deemed to have accepted and agreed to be bound by the following terms and conditions upon entry.
- The competition is free to enter and open to all residents of the district who have purchased a garden waste subscription between midday (12pm) 12th January 2026 and 28th February 2026 for a residence within the Rother District except employees or councillors of Rother District Council, their families, agents or any third party directly associated with administration of the prize draw.
- All subscriptions must be received and paid in full by 11:59 PM on 28th February 2026. Subscriptions received after this date will not be included in the prize draw. Only one entry per household address is permitted.
- By subscribing to the garden waste service an entrant is indicating their agreement to be bound by these terms and conditions. If a subscriber does not wish to be included in the prize draw, they should contact garden.waste@rother.gov.uk to be removed from the draw.
- Three (3) winners will be selected by a random number generator from all the valid entries on 30 April 2026.
- The prize will be awarded to the name on the garden waste subscription, and the prize is non-transferrable and cannot be exchanged for cash or other goods and services.
- The winners will be notified of the results by email (using the details provided on the subscription application form).
- The prize will be sent by recorded post to the winners address as stated on their garden waste subscription as soon as practicable after the draw is completed.
- The Promotor’s decision in respect of all matters to do with the prize draw will be final and no correspondence will be entered into.
- Any personal data relating to the winner, or any other entrants will be used solely in accordance with current UK data protection legislation 2018 and will be processed in accordance with the Promotor’s privacy policy which can be found by clicking on the link: Privacy Policy – Rother District Council
- The Promotor must either publish or make available information that indicates a valid award took place. To comply with this obligation the Promotor will send the surname and county of the winners to anyone who emails: garden.waste@rother.gov.uk or writes to: Garden Waste Officer, Bexhill Town Hall, London Road, Bexhill on Sea TN39 3JX (enclosing a self-addressed envelope) within one month after the closing date stated in condition 4.
- If you object to any or all of your surname, county and winning entry being published or made available, please contact the Promotor. In such circumstances, the Promotor must still provide the information and winning entry to the Advertising Standards Authority on request. The winner will be announced and publicised on several documentation and digital platforms, once notified of the win.
- The prize draw and these terms and conditions will be governed by English law and any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England.
- The Promotor shall have the right, at its sole discretion and at any time, to change or modify these terms and conditions, such change shall be effective immediately upon posting to Rother’s website.
