Salary: £24,847 - £27,309 per annum. Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience

We’re looking for a Waste and Street Scene Services Administrator to join our Waste and Street Scene Services department.

This is a varied role providing administrative and operational support across waste, recycling, street cleansing, garden waste and abandoned vehicle services. You’ll play an important part in helping the team deliver reliable services to residents, businesses and visitors across the district.

You’ll be responsible for administering customer enquiries, maintaining service records and databases, supporting contract monitoring activities, processing financial information and assisting with service performance reporting. You’ll also support the administration of the garden waste service and abandoned vehicle processes, helping ensure accurate records are maintained and services run efficiently.

Working closely with residents, contractors, council teams and partner organisations, you’ll help resolve enquiries, share information and support the day-to-day delivery of essential environmental services. No two days are the same, with a mix of customer contact, administration, data management and service support activities.

This role is based at Castleham Business Park, Hastings.

Key Skills

  • Experience in administration, customer service or business support
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
  • Experience using Microsoft Office, databases, CRM and other IT systems
  • Confidence working with data, spreadsheets and service records
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work accurately under pressure
  • A positive and flexible approach to working as part of a team
  • The ability to build effective working relationships with colleagues, contractors and customers
