Our refreshed Council Plan for 2025 to 2029 was adopted at Full Council on 23 February 2026. The Plan sets out what we aim to achieve by 2028, reflecting our ongoing commitment to fostering a vibrant and resilient district.
To achieve our vision for the district, we have outlined three supporting themes against which medium term priorities and progress can be identified:
- A Thriving Local Economy
- Live Well Locally
- Green to the Core
These themes are underpinned by our Fit for the Future programme, which ensures that we can deliver our priorities through effective and efficient services.
We’ll report progress on the Council Plan in a report to the Overview and Scrutiny Committee each year.
Action Plan
Our Council Action Plan has been produced to direct delivery of the Council Plan. It is a live document and subject to change. Action planning is presented annually as part of progress reports on the Council Plan.
