Rother District Council is committed to the correct delivery of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Reduction to its citizens. We are also committed to ensuring that people in Rother are able to get the benefits and reductions to which they are entitled.
However, some people attempt to obtain benefits to which they are not entitled. Sometimes this is done with planning and intention. Where this is the case, the Council will look at the circumstances of the individual and the fraud and consider prosecution.
