The following plastics can be recycled by placing them in your green recycling bin, pink sack or by taking them to your nearest bring site. PLEASE DO NOT recycle black plastic pots, tubs or trays. Currently black plastic cannot be processed by the sorting equipment at the recycling sorting facility. Place any black plastic items in your household waste bin.

Plastic bags
You can recycle the following types of plastic bags:
- Carrier bags
- Bread bags
- Banana bags
- Freezer bags
- Fruit and vegetable bags
Plastic film and wrapping
You can recycle the following types of plastic film and wrapping, such as:
- Plastic film around magazines and newspapers
- Plastic film or wrapping around food products
- Plastic wrapping around multi-packs of cans
- Plastic wrapping around toilet rolls
- Plastic wrappers from bakery goods
- Plastic shrink wrap or cling film
- Plastic breakfast cereal liners
Rejected
We are unable to accept the following materials in the recycling bin:
- Pesticide or chemical bottles
- Plastic plant pots
- Hard plastics, e.g. children’s toys, milk crates, ride on cars
- Polystyrene, e.g. for packaging and coffee cups
- Blister packs such as tablets and household battery packaging
- Bubble Wrap
- Black plastic sacks
- Electronic items
- Plastic strapping or string
