Our bulky waste service is for those items that can’t fit in your bin. The standard bulky service is for items which can reasonably lifted by 2 persons.

The Service is for HOUSEHOLD items only; we DO NOT accept the following items:

• Building rubble
• Liquid wastes
• Flammable materials
• Toxic wastes, including asbestos
• DIY waste, e.g.
  • Fixtures and fittings
  • Boilers
  • Baths
  • Bathroom suites
  • Kitchen Cabinets
  • Windows
  • Doors
  • Carpets
  • Radiators
• Leisure equipment not used at home, e.g.
  • Boats
  • Canoes

The above items can be taken to Mountfield, Hastings (Pebsham) and other East Sussex Household Waste Recycling Sites. Call ESCC/Veolia to check that it can be accepted.

You must be a resident in East Sussex and the materials must not be the result of a contractor’s work. Private commercial contractors may also be used but you must check they are registered waste carriers.
