The Rother District Council offices will close for the Christmas break at 4.30 pm on Tuesday 24th December 2024.
Our contact centre will reopen at 9.30 am on Thursday, 2nd January 2025.

Changes to bin collections
Every household will experience a change to their collections over Christmas and New Year. If you have a Garden Waste bin, this service is suspended for two weeks and will resume in the New Year.

Utilising brand-new technology, Aiimee is an AI-powered conversational bot, available 24/7 (even during our closure) to assist with the vast majority of Rother District Council queries.

Urgent out-of-hours support
Customers can use our out-of-hours service to report extremely urgent events that cannot wait until our offices reopen. Events include:
- car and house alarms
- If you are homeless and have nowhere to stay tonight – this includes if you are fleeing from domestic violence.
