Following a delay in paying the £150 council tax energy rebate for people who pay by direct debit, the council is pleased to announce that the money should be in people’s accounts tomorrow – Tuesday 24th May 2022.
The council would again like to apologise to residents for the delay which occurred due to an error with a third- party payment system.
Some eligible households who do not pay by direct debit, have been sent a letter from the council asking them to confirm their eligibility online and provide their bank details so that payments can be made. Those residents who have not yet received a letter, and do not pay by direct debit will be sent a letter this week.
