New Site Arrangements (April 2025)
Greymoor have been appointed by Rother DC Housing Company to construct the houses and associated external areas (driveways, gardens, landscaping etc) on this scheme. As of December 2024 Greymoor took Principal Contractor control of Fields 2 and 3 and became responsible for the site access at The Spinney.
As of 3rd March 2025, Greymoor took over part Field 1 to carry out substation works.
The infrastructure works being carried out by Breheny are now drawing to a close. Full handover of the remainder of the site to Greymoor is anticipated in early April 2025. Thereafter Greymoor will be principal Contractor for the entirety of the Blackfrairs site and will be responsible for both site accesses as well as silt management and discharge control.
Breheny will remain active on the site to complete the works to the Emmanuel Centre access, including re-grading of the bank. These works are due to take place through April and May 2025.
Off-site Footway Improvements
Section 278 improvement works on the footway crossings at Langton Close, Shirlea View and Norman Closeare now complete. Breheny will be completing the new crossings to Marley Lane and Station Approach during April 2025.
Housing Construction Programme:
The detailed design process is now substantially underway. Within fields 2 and 3, Greymoor continue to progress works to install utilities within the spine road footway, install estate road drainage and undertake associated levelling and grading. Construction works to the houses will commence in April 2025.
Greymoor have also commenced minor works to retaining walls and estate road drainage in a proportion of field 1 since the beginning of March.
The Works are due for completion in summer 2027.

- Minor works in enabling services, survey works and ecology

As of December 2024 the housing contractor, Greymoor, took over Fields 2 and 3 from Breheny. Greymoor are responsible for the site access at The Spinney.
As of 3rd March 2025 Greymoor will be taking over a section of Field 1 to carry out substation works. Breheny will remain in control of the access arrangements by Harrier Lane as well as maintaining the silt control plant. Breheny remain Principal Contractor for Field 1 and will remain on site until Spring 2025.
Off-site Footway Improvements
Breheny will be carrying out Section 278 improvement works on footway crossings at Marley Lane, Langton Close, Shirlea View, Norman Close, and Station Approach.
Works have now commenced and will continue throughout March.

- Completion of the road above embankments (excluding final surface course) and demobilisation – March/April 2025.

Greymoor have been appointed by Rother DC Housing Company to construct the houses and associated external areas (driveways, gardens etc) on this scheme. The detailed design process is now underway. Greymoor have taken control of fields 2 and 3 and have formed their site compound in readiness for commencement of the works. Minor works/surveys commenced in January 2025 in phase 2&3. Greymoor will also be commencing works in a proportion of field 1 at the beginning of March, although Breheny will remain in control of the Harrier Lane construction access. Works are due for completion in summer 2027.

New Site Arrangements (December 2024)
As of 13th December 2024, site arrangements have changed. The recently appointed housing contractor, Greymoor has now taken over Fields 2 and 3 from Breheny. Greymoor are now responsible for the site access at The Spinney.
Breheny remain Principal Contractor for Field 1 and will remain on site until Spring 2025. Breheny remain in control of the Harrier Lane site entrance and will continue to manage the silt control plant within field 1.
Off-site Footway Improvements
Breheny will be carrying out Section 278 improvement works on footway crossings at Marley Lane, Langton Close, Shirlea View, Norman Close, and Station Approach.
Work is currently scheduled to begin in late February and will continue throughout March, subject to road space scheduling.

- Reinforced Embankment and pond construction. Residents are advised that as a result of the embankment works there will be an increase in HGV movements over forthcoming months to service the works with the necessary volumes of imported aggregates. Transport through the High Street will only be used in exceptional circumstances, such as closures of the A21 road. Fields 2 & 3 (Greymoor)
