We will be making some small additions to Rye Salts play area over the coming months with the aim of improving access to play opportunities for children with mobility difficulties. Two options for improvements are under consideration.
This consultation closed on Sunday 15th October 2023. Thank you to all who participated. The preferred option was Option 2 (Kompan).
Both options comprise:
- A wheelchair-accessible roundabout (carousel)
- One or more play panels
- An inclusive see-saw (exactly the same item for both options)
Please note:
- Option 1 – The drawings for Option 1 do not show the inclusive see-saw; however, it is part of the proposal.
- Option 2 – You can also vote for your favourite play panel and choose the colour you would prefer the roundabout to be.
The equipment will be accessible to wheelchairs directly off the main path.
Families and carers in Rye who support children with mobility difficulties are invited to vote for their preferred option by midnight on Sunday, 15th October.
