Have you ever thought about selling your product to Rother District Council? We are a business that spends around £14m every year on procuring works, goods and services from external organisations.
Rother District Council’s standing orders require tenders and quotes to be sought as follows:
- Purchases up to £4,999 – managers choose suppliers and negotiate prices, seeking to use contract arrangements where they exist, must obtain a minimum of one written quote;
- Purchases from £5,000 to £49,999 – quotations are invited from at least three suitable companies;
- For purchases £50,000 and above · the tender procedure applies as per the Procurement Procedure Rules, opportunities are advertised on South East Shared Services Portal, Contracts Finder and relevant trade journals;
- Contracts where the value exceeds the threshold laid down by the EU for goods, services and works must be advertised in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU).
Further information on the tendering process for Rother District Council can be found in our Part 4 – 7 – Procurement Procedure Rules.
All Councils in Sussex are working together to make it easier for Small to Medium Enterprises (SMEs) to do business with us.
You can download our procurement strategy;
The Strategy is currently being reviewed in line with forthcoming legislation and the continued development of the East Sussex Procurement Hub of which Rother is a founder member.
Details on the Hub include all current and future opportunities to supply the Councils, current contracts, plus other information and useful tools for both Suppliers and Buyers.
