1066 Country Film Office is a collaboration between Hastings Borough and Rother District Councils and combines the areas of:
- Camber, Winchelsea Beach, Pett, Icklesham, Fairlight, Rye, Beckley
- Battle, Robertsbridge, Bodiam
- Bexhill, Catsfield
- Hastings, St. Leonards
Beautiful countryside and coastal scenes are in abundance and you will be spoilt for choice.
Whether you’re shooting a fashion shoot, a large film , a low budget feature, a short, a commercial or a major drama series, we’ll always do our best to accommodate you.
Our bureaucracy-free approach means we’ve been able to help productions with short notice periods.
In exchange for this level of flexibility, we expect incoming production companies to be fully co-operative and highly courteous to our residents and visitors. In the first instance, we’ll always need:
- A shooting schedule
- Evidence of risk assessment
- A copy of your £10 million Public Liability Insurance
Please note: during Covid-19 we require a lead time of 7-10 days, as we need to allow 5 days for local authorities to respond to site-specific risk assessments.
If you have a query about filming in Bexhill / Camber or surrounding areas, please contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
For all enquires for filming in Rother, please contact 1066 film office.
The application for permits is relatively straightforward, and is handled all the way through the 1066 Country Film Office. Officers are happy to advise on the terms of filming, the permits required and insurances needed, whilst they also ensure that the production companies are welcomed and that they arrive, film and leave with the fond and positive memories that Rother and all it has to offer can give.
Other permits are available on the 1066 film office webpage.
