An opportunity has arisen to work in the Food and Safety team of the shared Environmental Health Service of Rother and Wealden District Councils; the district covers much of the rural area of outstanding natural beauty of East Sussex on the South Coast and includes the towns of Bexhill, Polegate, Crowborough, Uckfield, Battle, Hailsham and Rye.

Driving licence and a car are essential for this role.

The food and safety team sits within a traditional Environmental Health Service that includes pollution, licensing and private sector housing. There are nine fully qualified officers within the food and safety team who work flexibly, combining site visits, with working from home and our offices in Bexhill and Hailsham.
