Teen Play Facilities in Bexhill

Play facilities for teenagers and young people include wheeled-sports facilities e.g. skate parks, multi-use games areas e.g. football/basketball combination units, kick-about goals and play equipment designed specifically for the teenage market.

Rother District Council maintains 9 such facilities in Bexhill. These are;

Egerton Park

Egerton Road (Central Ward)

The adiZone outdoor gym has proved to be a big hit with people of all ages combining fun and fitness within the pleasant surroundings of the park.  It incorporates fitness equipment, a climbing wall, a football goal and a basketball hoop.

A hard-surfaced basketball pad with basketball post and a 5-a-side goal.

Galley Hill

East Parade (Sackville Ward)

Designed by Source Skate Parks, equipment at the skate park comprises birch ply ramps and a Skatelite halfpipe.

Levett's Field Teen Facility

Levetts Field

Adjacent to Carfax Close (Sidley Ward)

A 5-a-side goal with rebound panels is installed at this site for informal football.

Sidley Recreation Ground

Buxton Drive (Sidley Ward)

The site has an unsurfaced BMX track and a hard-surfaced basketball pad with hoop. The BMX track is managed by a local organisation via a lease agreement with the Council.

Pebsham (St. Michael's Ward)

New play equipment including a 40 metre double zip wire, basket swing and electronic games panel was installed in 2009 to provide an exciting play experience for young teens.  There is also a basketball hoop on a hard-surfaced area and a 5-a-side goal close by.

A hard-surfaced basketball court and hoop is sited here.

Bexhill Leisure Centre

Down Road (St. Stephen's Ward)

Situated near to the Leisure Centre and King Offa School this is smaller skate facility than Galley Hill. The equipment comprises various ramps; half pipe and ramp, 2 jump boxes with rails and a quarter pipe.
