Please do not leave items outside charity shops, it is unacceptable and could be classed as fly tipping. Donations must be made either through collections from your doorstep or in person within the shop.

Textiles

There are many organisations and places who will take your clothes and footwear to be reused or recycled.

Doorstep charity collections

It is likely you get charity requests for textiles through your letterbox. They ask that sacks of textiles are left out on a particular collection day. This is an easy way to but your old clothes and shoes to good use, all we would advise is to make sure its a legitimate established charity so they go to a good cause.

Recycling points

Many of Rother’s recycling points have third party charity textile banks (mainly Salvation Army) where you can take your clothes and footwear.
