Love Local Campaign – District Council praise for business support

Rother District Council bosses say they are proud to celebrate the incredible support shown by local businesses during their Love Local/Shop Local campaign 2025.

The initiative is designed to champion independent retailers, boost the local economy, and remind everyone of the value of shopping close to home.

Throughout the campaign, businesses across Rother have been sharing their stories, and showcasing the unique products and services that make the district thrive.

From family-run shops to innovative start-ups, businesses across the district are playing a vital role in strengthening the local economy and fostering a sense of pride in towns and villages.

Councillor Christine Bayliss, Deputy Leader and Cabinet Member for Economic Development and Regeneration, said: “Our local businesses are the heartbeat of Rother. Their commitment to the Love Local campaign shows how much they care about their customers and communities. By shopping locally, we’re not just buying goods—we’re investing in jobs, sustainability, and the future of our high streets.”

The Council would like to give a special thank you to some of the amazing businesses that have embraced the Love Local message:
