A cash donation totalling £151.90 has been handed over to the Bexhill & Battle Foodbank thanks to the efforts of staff at Rother District Council.

At a recent event at the De La Warr Pavilion, Rother staff organised a special ‘Bake Off’ with cakes being baked and then sold with the proceeds going to support the charity.

The Foodbank has been picked by the Chair of the Council, Cllr Richard Thomas as one of his chosen charities. Cllr Thomas also attended the staff event at the DLWP to judge the baking competition.

Lorna Ford, Chief Executive of Rother District Council handed over the donation to Foodbank Manager, Michelle Pannell at Bexhill Town Hall recently.
