Rother District council has recently submitted listed building consent for the planned refurbishment work at The Colonnade in Bexhill.
The Colonnade is a Grade II listed building on the sea front that was built to commemorate the coronation of King George V.
The Council is carrying out a series of repairs and refurbishment works to the building due to issues with water leaks and damage. This project is due to commence in October 2025 and be completed by Spring 2026.
Other recent key milestones include the appointment of a building consultant earlier this year.
Residents and businesses can keep up-to-date with the latest developments on the work via the Council’s dedicated web page at: Colonnade Refurbishment – Rother District Council
