Parents and carers across Rother can now discover and book a wide range of summer holiday activities and sports sessions for children and young people.
The summer activities have been put together thanks to funding provided through the Active Rother Children’s Summer Holiday Small Grants Programme 2026.
Delivered by Active Rother in partnership with Rother District Council Sports Development, the programme is supporting local community groups to provide more opportunities for children and young people to get active during the summer holidays.
The initiative is particularly focused on supporting children and young people who may face barriers to participation.
Organisers say that regular physical activity offers significant benefits for both physical and mental wellbeing, and the grants programme aims to encourage healthier, more active lifestyles while providing enjoyable opportunities for young people throughout the summer break.
A variety of activities are being offered across Rother, including football, dance, tennis, yoga and multi-sports sessions. The programme is being delivered by local groups, coaches and volunteers whose efforts are helping to create accessible and engaging opportunities for young people in communities across the district.
Active Rother and Rother Sports Development have congratulated all the organisations that successfully secured funding, and thanked the coaches and volunteers who are helping to make the activities possible.
Parents and carers can find full details of the funded summer holiday activities, including locations, dates and booking information, through the Active Rother summer activities programme.
