Rother District Council is inviting applications for a new Intergenerational Grants programme, designed to support local organisations to bring people of different ages together through shared activities to build relationships, strengthen communities, and improve wellbeing. It  can reduce isolation and increase purpose among older people, while supporting younger people to build confidence, communication, and social skills.

This grant programme supports key objectives within the Age-Friendly Rother programme to help support inclusion and reduce ageism and age related stereotypes and harms.

Activities can include creative arts, storytelling, physical activity, gardening, music, and other participatory experiences of sharing skills and experience across generations. Grants awarded will be for up to a maximum of £500.

Further information on the grants programme is set out in a guidance document.  Local organisations and community groups can apply using the programme application form. This form and the guidance document can be downloaded below:

The closing date for applications is 5pm on Friday July 31st 2026.
