There are no Council funded grants/discounts currently available for insulation or renewable energy measures. There are no Council endorsed energy efficiency schemes currently operating in the district. Disregard any reference to Council endorsed schemes made by cold callers or in leaflets etc.

There are grants/discounts available from other sources including utility providers and some major retailers. The Council directs all enquiries about grants/discounts, energy efficiency measures, solar hot water/PV, feed in tariffs, electric vehicles etc to the Energy Savings Trust.

HECA report 2017

The Home Energy Conservation Act 1995 requires the Council to publish a progress report on its web site, every 2 years until 31 March 2027. setting out the energy conservation measures that the authority considers practicable, cost-effective and likely to result in significant improvement in the energy efficiency of residential accommodation in its area.
