Rother District Council is committed to the correct delivery of Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit to its citizens. We are also committed to ensuring that people in Rother are able to get the benefits to which they are entitled.

However, some people attempt to obtain benefits to which they are not entitled. Sometimes this is done with planning and intention. Where this is the case, the Council will look at the circumstances of the individual and the fraud and consider prosecution.

Benefit Fraud affects every one of us and much of the work of the Fraud Team comes from members of the public, for which the Council is grateful. Any contact is confidential, you do not have to give your name.
