Jet Skis

Jet Skis - Rye Harbour and Herbrand Walk, Cooden

Rother has two designated Jet Ski launch and recovery sites.  One at Rye Harbour and a second at Herbrand Walk, Cooden, which is limited to within the boat lane only.

Jet Ski users launch and recover at their own risk, and must not exceed five knots whilst in the harbour and/or boat lane.

For health and safety reasons, launching from any other location in Rother or from any part of Herbrand Walk beach other than the designated boat lane is strictly prohibited.

Due to the risk of Jet Skis to other water users, particularly swimmers, the Council will actively prosecute any person launching or landing a Jet Ski outside of the designated areas.

For access purposes, vehicles are not allowed onto Herbrand Walk beach or to drive across the beach, but are able to park on the edge of the beach adjacent to the road.
