Current Position

Under the circumstances the Fairlight Neighbourhood Plan is now treated as abandoned and, as such, responsibility for planning policies and the allocation of sites will revert to Rother District Council.

Abandonment of the Fairlight Neighbourhood Plan

At the Fairlight Parish Council meeting on 27 February 2018 the Parish Council considered, and approved, the recommendation to stop work on the Fairlight Neighbourhood Plan.

November 2015

Designation of Fairlight Parish as a Neighbourhood Plan Area

Rother District Council confirmed that, in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Plan (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the marked area shown on the submitted map (being that of the Parish boundary) was formally designated as the Fairlight Parish Neighbourhood Plan Area.

Application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area

In accordance with Part 2, Regulation 5 (1) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Fairlight Parish Council (as the relevant body) submitted to Rother District Council an application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area, along with the following documents:
