Fairlight Neighbourhood Plan
Fairlight Parish Council formally submitted an application for the designation of a Neighbourhood Plan Area in July 2015. In accordance with Part 2, Regulation 5 (1) of the Neighbourhood Planning (General) Regulations 2012, Fairlight Parish Council (as the relevant body) submitted to Rother District Council the following:
- A map which identifies the area to which the area application relates [454kb]
- A statement explaining why the area is considered appropriate to be designated as a neighbourhood area and why Fairlight Parish Council is a relevant body for the purposes of section 61G of the Town & Country Planning Act 1990 [182kb]
In accordance with the Regulation (6), Rother District Council publicised the area application for a period of 4 weeks, between 9th October and 6th November 2015, and invited representations on the area designation.
In November 2015, it was confirmed by the Council that, in accordance with Regulation 7 of the Neighbourhood Plan (General) Regulations 2012 (as amended), the marked area shown on the map above (being that of the Parish boundary) was formally designated as the Fairlight Parish Neighbourhood Plan Area.
