Operations Support Officer

Salary: £20,937 to £23,298 per annum (Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Contract Length: Permanent Contract

We currently have an opportunity to work within our Neighbourhood Services Team based in Bexhill Town Hall.  The successful applicant will be working as part of a team to carry out operations support tasks including liaising with members of the public, contractors, and suppliers.

The successful candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills and will be computer literate, in particular regarding Microsoft Excel. Being able to respond to customer enquiries in a courteous and efficient manner is also key. The nature of this role is challenging, working under pressure with sometimes unforeseen and urgent demands but it is also rewarding for the right candidate.

The successful applicant will provide a support service for our Cemeteries Officer, at times attending interments, liaising with bereaved families, funeral directors, and grounds maintenance contractors so tact, diplomacy, and empathy are essential skills.
