Housing Management Officer

Salary: £29,397 - £31,305 per annum (Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience)

Contract Type: Full Time - 37 hours per week

Contract Length: Permanent Contract

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to join our evolving Housing Solutions Team. The successful candidate will be required to manage a growing portfolio of the Council’s housing stock which is currently used for our Temporary Accommodation and Rough Sleeping Initiative support schemes, with the focus on delivering a high-quality housing management service.

Responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

  • Working work with residents and their support services
  • Managing cases of anti-social behavior and being responsible for all areas of tenancy management including rental collection, organising repairs and statutory compliance
  • Developing effective tenant participation and involvement
  • Ensuring that the conditions of tenancy are adhered to and to take appropriate enforcement action where there are breaches
  • Supporting the Private Sector Procurement Officer with applications for Rent In Advance (RIA) and Deposits

Key Skills

  • A knowledge of tenancy management and enforcing conditions of a tenancy is essential
  • You must be able to interact well with both internal and external partners to deliver the best services to our residents
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and good IT skills including use of Microsoft Office products
  • Be resilient and flexible; and have excellent organisational skills
