Salary: £25,397 - £27,710 per annum (Starting salary dependent on qualifications and experience)
Contract Type: Full Time - 37 hours per week

We have an exciting opportunity to join our busy Housing team who are working hard to deliver successful housing solutions. This is a newly created role with a focus on preventing homelessness. You will be able to contribute to developing the service and have opportunities to develop your own ideas and initiatives to identify the optimum solution right from a customer’s initial contact.
You will help support customers on the actions agreed within their personal housing plan which identifies the steps both the customer and the council can take to help resolve their housing issue. You will also be able to monitor their progress and take proactive steps to contact accommodation providers from securing supported accommodation placements to sourcing new privately rented accommodation. This role will support the Housing Needs Officers with discharging the Councils’ responsibilities to pro-actively prevent and relieve homelessness and support them with making their statutory enquires.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic, self-motivated individual ideally with a good knowledge of housing and associated legalisation. You will need to be organised and methodical to manage a complex and varied work load. You will need a positive attitude and caring approach towards customers. You will have excellent communication, negotiation and problem-solving skills to find solutions for those facing housing problems.
