After avoiding a recession and with growth forecasts higher than expected, the government has used the extra revenue in the budget to try and boost business investment and get people back to work.

In this issue we link to an article which examines what the budget will mean to businesses in the South East and we hear from local businesses to see how they will be affected.

We also give you an update on the reforms in our own Planning service, provide information on a free Lean workshop to help your business become more efficient, and to celebrate 75 years of the World Health Organisation, we have included details on a Wellbeing at Work programme which is free to all organisations based in East Sussex.

If you have a business event that you would like us to promote or a success story that you would like us to share, please let us know at businessalerts@rother.gov.uk
