This September you will be receiving a link to our new online business survey, providing you with a chance to let us know how your business is coping, things you’re doing well and areas you could do with a little help. The latest data received on footfall to our high streets reveals yearly trends for Battle, Bexhill, Rye and Camber since 2019. The data analyses average daily visitors to the town, hourly visitors and catchment area of those visitors. Here are some topline stats from the data:  

Battle: The highest month for footfall this year was January at 2,112. Wednesdays see peak centre visitors.  

Bexhill: Sundays see peak centre footfall with 3,323 per day. Over the past 12 months the peak hour for footfall was 18:00 

Rye: The highest month for footfall in the last 12 months was November at 2,250. Mondays see peak centre footfall of 1765 visitors.  

Camber: Interestingly the highest month for footfall in the last 12 months was December with a figure of 4,922.

There is one month left to apply for the Innovate UK Unlocking Potential Award. Applications close 6 September 2023. This is a competition, split into 2 strands, which have been designed to cover different stages of a business journey. Winners of the award will receive funding and a tailored business support package.
