Rother council supports 'you're hired' apprenticeship scheme

Rother District Council is supporting the 'You're Hired East Sussex' campaign. The campaign's goal is to increase the number of apprenticeships in the county, helping businesses strengthen their workforce and create job opportunities for young people.

The campaign hopes to find 500 businesses willing to pledge to find out more about taking on an apprentice and aims to find 500 work-ready young people wanting to be apprentices.

As part of the campaign, young people will be able to access support from the Youth Employability Service (YES), attend pre-employment training programmes that will help them to develop the employability skills required to get a job, and attend 'You're Hired' events where they can meet employers with real vacancies.

If you are a business and you would like more information about apprenticeships, please visit apprenticeships.gov.uk.

If you'd like support from a local training provider regarding apprenticeships, please call the National Apprenticeship Service on 0800 0150 600.
