Bexhill Seaside Pleasure Boat Byelaws - Further Consultation

We are proposing a change to the byelaws that we consulted on last year. The change is where we put the boat lane at Herbrand Walk, Bexhill. Read more and have your say. Consultation open: 6 May - 30 June 2014

Proposed Change

We propose to change where we will put the boat lane on the beach at Herbrand Walk, Bexhill.

In our last consultation on the byelaws we suggested: "a channel of which one side is formed by the Environment Agency groyne no 17 about half way along Herbrand Walk and an imaginary straight line forming and extension seawards thereof and the other side is formed by an imaginary straight line for 100m to the west of the first side and parallel thereto"

We now propose  "a channel of 100m in width marked by buoys or other suitable markers placed by the Council within the Zone between on the one side an imaginary line from the centre line of the level crossing at Herbrand Walk to a point 430 metres to the east".

This means the boat lane will be further west than where it is now.
