Bexhill Local CIL Bidding

The Community Infrastructure Levy (CIL) is a mechanism to allow Councils to raise funds from some forms of development in order to contribute towards the cost of infrastructure. The Council has been collecting contributions under the CIL since its adoption in Rother on the 4 April 2016.

We are pleased to inform you that we are now in a position to allocate the Bexhill Neighbourhood CIL contributions towards projects which support development in Bexhill.

The Council will be opening bidding to Community Groups, Infrastructure Providers and other interested organisations for eight weeks on the 8th August 2019, closing on 3rd October 2019. Applications made after the closing date will not be considered but may be held for a later review.

The Council have prepared various documents to assist applicants in submitting bidding applications such as pdf icon The Bexhill Local CIL Bidding Guidance Note [295kb] and a pdf icon Bexhill Local CIL Assessment Criteria [229kb] document. It is advised that these documents are read in full before considering submitting a bid application and the bidding for the Bexhill Local CIL should not get confused with the Strategic CIL.

Applications submitted by the 3rd October will be considered by the Panel and the applicants will be informed of the outcome of this round of bidding in the autumn.
