Diamond Jubilee Celebrations

The official Queen's Diamond Jubilee weekend will run from 2nd to 5th June 2012.

There are a number of events and celebrations being held locally. You can find out what is happening in Rother on the following pages.

The Council has provided a number of grants for a great number of local events. We have also waived the fee for road closures to make the Diamond Jubilee a celebration to remember.

Beacon Events
On Monday 4th June 2012, the aim is to light at least 2,012 beacons to mark this important and historic moment in The Queen's Reign.
Street Parties / Road Closures
During the Queen's Diamond Jubilee Celebrations, several street parties will be held and some roads will be closed as a result.
Diamond Jubilee Grants
Rother District Council agreed to set up a grants fund of £20,000 to recognise the Queen's Diamond Jubilee. The official Queen's Diamond Jubilee weekend will run from 2nd to 5th June 2012.
