Whistle-Blowing - Fraud Reporting

“Whistle-Blowing” has been defined, as the disclosure by an employee of confidential information, which relates to some fraud, danger or other illegal or unethical conduct connected with the workplace, be it of the employer or of its employees.

Such malpractice could involve:

  • A crime or breach of regulatory, administrative or common law;
  • A miscarriage of justice;
  • Danger to health and safety;
  • Damage to the environment;
  • Unauthorised use of public funds;
  • Possible fraud and corruption.

Rother District Council is committed to the highest standards of good corporate governance and to full accountability for all its services. The Council's "Whistle-Blowing" policy can be downloaded (right).

  2. Speak directly to the Head of Audit Services - 01424 787716 (8.30am - 5pm, Mon-Thurs; 8.30am - 4.30pm Fri)
