Girls Getting Active

Girls Getting Active sessions are being run as part of the Active Rother project

The first girls getting active sessions in Rother have kicked off!

Cheerleading : Girls Getting Active CheerleadingIn Bexhill free taster sessions are being led from Bexhill Leisure Centre. The sessions are being offered to teenage girls and ladies. It started with self defence from a local Judo instructor and will go on to other fun activities such as gymnastics, street dance, trampolining and Pilates. Also the girls will be offered some free pampering sessions and healthy food advice along with some free goodies!

The sessions run on Mondays from 3.30pm till 4.30pm every week during term time. Girls are invited from the local schools, such as Bexhill High, Bexhill College and St Richards, many posters can be found in youth centres and information boards as well, so keep a look out!

A cheerleading squad is now being developed and the girls are having fun starting to come up with the choreography with the session leaders.
