Warm home check service

The East Sussex Warm Home Check service is available all year round. It offers advice and support to anyone who struggles to keep warm at home. If you are on a low income you may also qualify for a free home visit which includes:

  • advice on getting help to pay for heating

  • an assessment of your home to identify how to keep warm

  • small works such as improving insulation or repairing boilers

  • emergency temporary heating.

Installation of replacement boilers, central heating systems or home insulation is also possible subject to eligibility and limited availability.

Eligibility

The Council has signed a flexible  pdf icon Eligibility Statement of Intent [551kb] which just means you may be able to apply for additional help from energy companies, after you have had a winter home check.
