Please be as specific as you can be about: dates; addresses; statutory provisions etc. This helps us to help you and reduces costs so we can spend more on essential services and keep your Council Tax down.

The council may need more details from you to find the information that you have requested. You should receive a reply to your query within twenty working days: this period will begin once you have provided all the details necessary to find the information, but if you are required to pay a fee that period will be suspended until you have paid it. Please ensure the information you seek is not available under the Council's Publication Scheme #. Your application may be refused if it is vexatious or repeated (i.e. "vexatious" in relation to legal actions means "intended to annoy and/or cause trouble". A request made for genuine reasons is not vexatious just because it causes us trouble). # Each public authority must publish and maintain a Publication Scheme. This sets out what information is already available, how the information can be obtained and whether there is any charge for it. It is not possible to use the Freedom of Information Act 2000 to obtain information included in the Publication Scheme. Much of the information included in the Rother District Council Publication Scheme is available free of charge over the Internet.
