A small but interesting display of local artefacts, including a Bayeux Tapestry print, 1066 model battle scene, facsimile Domesday Book, coins, Assize records, Iguanodon footprints, old toys and games and children's touch table. The history of the town since the Battle of Hastings is explored in displays of working life, for example the local gunpowder industry. Come for five minutes ..... stay for an hour. Seasonal opening.
