Ordering a memorial

Rother District Council does not supply or install memorials. A monumental or stone mason must be employed directly by the individual member of the public.

All memorial work carried out in the cemeteries must conform to the current National Association of Memorial Masons (NAMM) Code of Working Practice, and must be undertaken by a mason registered with the British Register of Memorial Masons (BRAMM).

It should be noted that Rother District Council or any of its officers do not recommend or endorse any specific masons and cannot accept any liability for any claims arising from the use of their services.

The 'Application for a Memorial' form is available to download opposite, however it should be noted that the mason will normally complete and return this form.
