It is our aim to provide guidance with regards to cemetery and funeral services in a caring and sensitive manner.

Rother District Council manages two cemeteries within the district that are open for burials. These are at Turkey Road, Bexhill and Rye Hill, Rye.

Bexhill Cemetery	Rye Cemetery

There is currently no provision for cremation in Rother. The nearest Crematoriums are situated in Hastings, Eastbourne and Tunbridge Wells and are managed by the relevant authorities in those areas.

Rother can provide for interment of ashes within its cemeteries at Rye and Bexhill following cremation.

Rye Cemetery
Rye Cemetery is located in Rye Hill and is managed by Rother District Council.
Bexhill Cemetery
Bexhill Cemetery and Chapel is located at Turkey Road, and is managed by Rother District Council.
Cemetery charges
This section provides the district's current charges for interments.
Exhumations
The district council does not deal with the process of exhumation.
Ordering a memorial
Rother District Council does not supply or install memorials. A monumental or stone mason must be employed directly by the individual member of the public.
