Performance Management

Performance Management

How the authority manages its performance so that it is able to deliver its aims and objectives.

Performance Management

The Council has a series of integrated plans and processes in order to monitor its progress and ensure that it is achieving the Corporate Plan's Core Aims, Broad Outcomes, Actions and Corporate Priority Programme of projects to deliver the Corporate Plan. Find a copy of the Corporate Plan here

Corporate Plan

The current Corporate Plan was adopted in 2014, after extensive consultation and consideration.  The Plan and our performance updates are available here  Corporate Plan 2014 - 2021

Key Performance Indicators

In January each year the Councillors debate and select a set of measurements that will be reported to them, without exception (whether or not they are delivering as forecasted).  This set is designed to monitor the performance of the Council.  The set has a small number of measurements that represent a range of services, have a frontline and service delivery focus and show the delivery of the current Corporate Plan.

The Overview and Scrutiny Committee monitor the KPI set once a quarter and make recommendations to Cabinet or scrutinise in more detail.  Read reports, agendas and minutes of the Overview and Scrutiny Committee

Electronic Performance Management System

Rother District Council uses the Pentana Risk (Performance) (formerly called Covalent) performance management system for managing corporate and service performance indicators, service plans, strategy action plans, projects and project programmes.

For more information on the system you could go to Ideagen's corporate website:
