The Council publishes an Annual Report and Performance Plan by 30 June each year. The most recent publication is the Annual Report and Performance Plan for 2011/12.

The 2011 Annual Report and Performance Plan is a summary of the Council's performance.

The Annual Report and Performance Plan gives a brief account of:

• What the Council did in 2010,
• What the Council is going to do in 2011,
• What the Council spent in 2010 and intends to spend in 2011,
• Who are our staff,
• Our work in reducing the Council's carbon footprint,
• The Council's aims and objectives,
• Key tasks we will carry out in 2011,
• Our Corporate Priority Programme of projects, what we've achieved so far and what is planned for 2011.
• Measurements of our services, with the most recent results and the next target. 

All Performance Plans cover the financial year beginning 1st April and ending the following 31st March.

You can read about how the Performance Plan is going as the year goes on.  Progress reports can be found on the Committee section in the agendas and minutes for the Resources Overview and Scrutiny Committee.   That Committee receives a report on progress every three months (once a quarter).  The report for the first quarter of 2011/12 went to the 28th September meeting of Resources OSC.
