Rother District Council

One of the elements of the Local Development Framework is a document called the Statement of Community Involvement (SCI).

This document sets out the process and methods for public involvement in the preparation of the planning policy documents in Rother that form part of the Local Development Framework. A separate section of the Statement sets out the protocols for public involvement in the consideration of planning applications in Rother District.

The Council adopted its SCI on 21^st August 2006. The adopted SCI and the adoption statement are available to download (right). The adopted SCI incorporates the changes made by an independent Planning Inspector who was appointed to consider the overall 'soundness' of the Statement as well as individual objections to it. The Inspector's Report is also available to download (right).
