Statement of Community Involvement (SCI) - 2015

What is a Statement of Community Involvement?

The SCI provides information on how the community can become involved with the preparation of planning policy documents and the determination of planning applications.

It sets out how we will notify and consult all interested groups and ensure equality, including engaging with "hard to reach" groups. It details which particular plans require public involvement and how and at what stage there are opportunities to be involved.

The Statement of Community Involvement 2015 was adopted by the Council on 15th December 2015 after undergoing a six week public consultation between 14 August until 25 September 2015. It replaces the version adopted in 2006.

The adopted Statement of Community Involvement and the Adoption Statement may be viewed below.

Representations received during the consultation to the Draft SCI.  The Consultation Statement, which can be found below, sets out summaries of the representations received and the Council's responses.

Copies may be inspected at the Town Hall, Bexhill-on-Sea during normal opening hours.
