Listen to our WebsiteRother District Council is pleased to introduce a new service to aid accessibility on our website for those with reading difficulties. We have teamed up with Texthelp Systems to provide a service which gives our visitors the chance to listen to rother.gov.uk. All you have to do is simply install the free Browsealoud software by following the link to the Browsealoud website below. Browsealoud is a computer Browser plug-in designed for use with Internet Explorer 7, Firefox 5 upwards on Windows PCs or Safari v3 on Mac. You can control the voice, pitch and the speed. When you scroll over the text on the website, Browsealoud will read and speak what you require. Browsealoud can also read PDFs on our website. Version 9 or newer of Adobe Reader is recommended when using Browsealoud with PDFs. Before you install the software, you can get further information by visiting the Browsealoud website. To install the software, please click on the following link to go to download the software from the Browsealoud website. |
